Advent Word: Time
One aspect of growing older is the experience of time seeming to move very fast and you realize just how short life is.
It is good to make the best of the present time which will soon be gone. That feels all the more poignant today when I shall attend a funeral.
The word 'Time' reminds me of some verses from the Bible, often read during Advent, Romans 13: 11 - 12:
"...you know what time it is, how it is now the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers; the night is fat gone, the day is near. Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armour of light;..."
