Seeker

 This is a particularly bleak photo by Salvadhor of ice people walking in the dark night of time. They seem to be following in single file towards an even darker place. It reminds me of some lines from 'East Coker', the 2nd of T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets: "O dark dark dark, they all go into the dark,   The vacant interstellar spaces, the vacant into the vacant,   The captains, merchant bankers, eminent men of letters,   The generous patrons of art, the statesmen and the rulers,   Distinguished civil servants,   chairmen of many  committees, Industrial lords and petty contractors,   they all go into the dark..." That poem (published March 1940) is not entirely bleak. It is a reflection on the cycle of life, death, decay and regeneration.
